Accelerated Resolution Therapy in Edmonton & St. Albert
What Is Accelerated Resolution Therapy?
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a relatively new form of therapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies but has been shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly (usually within 3-5 sessions). ART is a combination of bilateral stimulation, prolonged exposure and visualizations. ART looks at processing negative psychological symptoms within the body and the brain. ART has been shown to improve clients’ symptoms within 1 or 2 sessions. While initially a trauma therapy, ART appears to be beneficial for several psychological concerns. More detailed information on this approach can be found here.
For more information on ART, here’s a Ted Talk by the founder, Laney; click here.
